Rolling Hills Community Church | Architect’s Review
Rolling Hills Community Church, Franklin, TN
Rolling Hills Community Church was founded in 2002. With just 15 members, their first services were held in a clubhouse in an apartment complex. 17 years later, the church has grown exponentially and now has 3 campuses, with the opening of a new campus in fall 2021.
In the spring of 2020, after researching many themed businesses, family pastor Chase Baker reached out to the Worlds of Wow team to help RHCC redesign their kids’ space. He had a vision of a modern, sophisticated, but still fun environment for the children in his ministry. The church used neutral colors with modern lines and lighting. The backlit illuminated focal wall represents the idea that faith can move mountains. Worlds of Wow created the wall using digitally printed plexiglass, paint, LED DMX lights, bubble-free MDF that looks like reclaimed wood and features movable magnetic photo frames.
The scene in the large group room uses layered textures comprised of brick, wood, digitally printed wall sconces, and industrial foam elements. The stage has barn doors that open to expose a large television used for watching religious programs. The Worlds of Wow creative team designed each area of the project to reflect the Rolling Hills brand experience while bringing joy and excitement to the youth and families of the church.
