The wonders they say will never end as a self-proclaimed evangelist and prophet Evangelist Elijah Elisha Nsuobeyeboaden Nyame dug his mother’s grave.

Evangelist Elijah 30, in a bizarre way, dug his mother’s grave and removed the body that had died and was buried a year ago, claiming that his mother appeared to him in her sleep.

The so-called man of God added that his late mother told him she was alive and asked him to exhume her.

He told the locals that God also asked him to dig the grave and remove the body because he (God) was ready to resuscitate his deceased mother.

An eyewitness Mr. Kwara told Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5Fm that the incident shocked them and that efforts were underway to disinfect the community and re-bury the body.

He said opinion leaders in the area have reported the incident to the police and the evangelist and that 20 other people who helped him dig the grave have been arrested.

He deplored that the incident poses a threat to the health of the inhabitants of the region.

He stressed that they would not waste time re-burying the body as it was a criminal act and a threat to the population.

“We don’t understand why he did that. It beats our imagination. If it was for ritualistic purposes, we won’t allow it. He is a health threat and as residents we will not allow him to do this. He was stopped. We are also preparing to re-bury the body, ”he said.
