Local News: Women Worthy of Walking Conference in April in Mountain View (2/27/22)

The South Central Walk Worthy Women’s Conference, an interfaith event April 22-23 at First Baptist Church in Mountain View, Missouri, will feature three keynote speakers.
Conference hours are 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Teresa Arthur will be the conference moderator.
“We are honored to welcome keynote speakers Toni Collier, Bible teacher; Sara Forhetz, speaker; and Sheila Walsh, author and Bible teacher; praise and worship the rulers we are called,” Arthur said.
Collier is the founder of an international women’s ministry called Broken Crayons Still Color, which helps women overcome brokenness and find hope. She serves alongside her husband, Sam, who is senior pastor at Hillsong Atlanta.
Collier is a speaker, host, and consultant who has helped organizations with creative marketing, leadership, student ministry, and strategic planning. She has had the opportunity to stand on stages like North Point Community Church, Chick-Fil-A, IF Gathering, Orange Conference and MomCon.
According to its organizers, Collier kills illusions. She faces the difficult things. She takes her challenges head-on, then she takes on the challenges of others. In this digital age of anxiety, she teaches people everywhere that they can be broken, worthy and unqualified and still called to do great things.
Forhetz speaks to churches in southwest Missouri and northern Arkansas, sharing his heart for personal evangelism. Organizers said she has a passion for sharing the gospel with people and urging Christians to be bold in their faith because friends, family, colleagues and acquaintances who desperately need others be bold.
Forhetz resides in Ozark with her husband, Ethan, and their three children.
Originally from Scotland, Walsh is a wife and mother who, in her spare time, is an author, Bible teacher and TV host. She has spoken to over six million women worldwide and reaches a potential 100 million people a day as a co-host of the TV show Life Today.
Walsh makes the Bible practical, sharing how God met her at her lowest point and helped her up, conference organizers said. His message: God is for you.
Walsh’s books have sold over five million copies and include “It’s Okay Not To Be Okay”, “Praying Women”, “How to Pray When You Don’t Know What To Say”, “Is God Still Awake” and “Holding on When You Want to Let Go.
She lives in Texas where she lives with her husband, son and two dogs, Tink and Maggie, who rule the roost.
