Jimmie Bridgman (1942-2022) | Obituary

On Tuesday, January 4, 2022, Jimmie Lyle Bridgman, loving husband, father of three adult children, and servant of Jesus Christ, passed from earthly to heavenly life at age 79 ¾. On April 11, 1942, Jim was born to David and Edna Bridgman in Everett, WA, and grew up in Bellevue, WA. On April 10, 1965, he married Shirley Egbert of Woodinville, WA. They raised three children – LoriJeanne, Melody and Travis.
Together, Jim and Shirley trained as missionaries and continued to serve in lifestyle evangelism with outreach on Native American reservations, Latin America, throughout California, the Pacific Northwest and daily in their North Bend neighborhood. Jim loved the Lord all his life and regularly told strangers about his “best friend,” Jesus. They owned several businesses, including Trust Janitorial and Cuisine Limousine.
Jim was a jack of all trades, a doer and builder, and a servant of Jesus Christ. Many friends called “911 Jim” to fix a car, install a door, change a tire, roof a house, provide shelter after a flood, and much more. He came to the rescue whenever the need arose. His joy was to serve the Lord by serving others, often anonymously, invisibly, and thanklessly.
Jim lived a legacy as a dad who prayed for his children daily, taught them by example to speak with his “daddy”, the Lord God, and showed them how to live as humble servants of Jesus Christ. They are blessed with the most precious heritage that anyone can receive.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 57 years, Shirley of North Bend; their children LoriJeanne & Michael, Melody & Tim and Travis; grandchildren Wesley, Wade & Katelin and Angelina; 2 great-granddaughters; many other loved ones, and his constant canine companion, Buddy. Jim was predeceased by his parents and 7 of 9 siblings, with another brother joining him in heaven the following week.
Jim’s HOMEgoing celebration will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 22 at the MountainView Christian Fellowship, 316 NE 8th St, North Bend. It will be broadcast live and recorded on the church’s Facebook and YouTube pages.
Jim’s gift wish was to provide wells for drinking water all over the world. Please consider making a donation in his name to Life Outreach International’s “Water for Life” outreach program https://lifetoday.org/outreaches/water-for-life/.
