Disadvantaged students in Kwahu Obo receive support from Substance International Network

The Ladies of Substance International Network (LoSIN) has provided three schools in Obo, Southern Kwahu District of the Eastern Region with computers, school materials, stationery and more for facilitate learning.

In addition, some 300 school children from Obo Presbyterian A Basic-JHS, Obo Anglican A, Obo Roman Catholic School and Obo Methodist Schools received delicious meals.

Pupils and students from the beneficiary schools were extremely delighted when they received the items.

Principal of Obo Presbyterian A Elementary School, Mr Philip Doe said, “The school has been overwhelmed by this kind gesture and we are very grateful.

Additionally, savings clothing was also donated to four churches to help with their evangelism.

These churches include the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Methodist, Anglican, and Roman Catholic.

At the recent 75th anniversary and awards ceremony of Aburi Girls Senior High School, ‘LoSIN’ awarded cash prizes to two students.

In the field of education, the organization has been supporting bright but needy students for years. It also grants scholarships to students from elementary to graduate level.

In terms of health, LoSIN over its 12 years of existence has given back to society in various ways.

These include donations to the Cardio-Thoracic Center at Korle-bu University Hospital in Accra, among others.

Nor have orphanages and prisons been left behind in the donation exercise.

Led by pastors Charles and Abena Asare, who oversee the ministry of the Powerhouse Foundation in Accra, the organization relies solely on the offerings and benevolence of its members.
