Church Street Holiday Stroll 2021: tree lighting, more details

VIENNA, VA – The people of Vienna will be ringing the bell on Monday during the holiday season with a beloved tradition: the holiday walk down Church Street.

While last year’s event took place virtually due to COVID-19, the event is back in 2021 on Monday, November 29 from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Santa Claus will join Mayor Linda Colbert to direct the lighting of the city’s Christmas tree. The event will begin in front of the Freeman store, 131 Church Street NE, at 6 p.m.

Guests can also enjoy live holiday music from local bands and venture out to the businesses and sites of Church Street. The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department will sell Christmas decorations and the Fairfax County Police Department will provide children’s ID cards free of charge. Beyond the event, some companies will offer promotions and participate in the Vienna Business Association Holiday shopping pass.
