WOMEN'S BOOK BASH

11 Apr 2010 - 6:30pm

Following on the heels of the emotional discussions generated by Sarah’s Key which was set in WWII Paris, we return to the same topic – dealing with the “Jewish Problem” -- this time from the perspective of the German people during the same time period. Our April selection, The Book Thief, by Markus Zusak, is a heart-warming yet disturbing story that will trigger many emotions in the reader. It’s a book that at first may be difficult to grasp, but once into it you won’t want to put it down. With the background information gleaned from Sarah’s Key, and the incidents depicted in The Book Thief, the conversations are sure to be lively and electric! You won’t want to miss these discussions.
We will meet at the home of Beth Lyle from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Come join us on Sunday, April 11, 2010 to share your thoughts and feelings with other women of the church. Call Beth Lyle if you have any questions or need a ride.
