Church Growth
The Church Growth committee members continually encourage church members to invite friends to worship with us. They devise ways to make the church more inviting and visible in the community.

FRIENDSHIP SUNDAY
FRIENDSHIP SUNDAY
Sunday, November 29, has been selected as Friendship Sunday. What better time of the year than the Advent season to invite a friend to experience the anticipation and beauty that we at Pilgrim Church behold on the Sunday designated as “The Hanging of the Greens Service.” Please begin to plan now to invite a colleague, a neighbor, a friend, or a relative to be embraced by the spiritual family here at Pilgrim.

LADIES: CHECK YOUR CLOSETS AND ATTICS
The next Ladies Tea in February 2009 will be a WEDDING TEA. Do you still have your wedding gown or your Mom’s gown? Maybe you bought one at an auction or have a special dress – that also would be wonderful. IT DOES NOT HAVE TO FIT! The youth members of our church will be models. Delicate dresses can also just be displayed. Let’s make this a very special occasion. More details in the Fall.

Friendship Tea
Once again, the ladies of Pilgrim Church with their family and friends enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea on February 2. Fellowship Hall was transformed into an Asian themed tearoom, and Suzie Park demonstrated the custom of serving tea in Korea. Sincere thanks to the confirmation class as well as Katya and Emily for serving tea and treats, to Suzie for sharing her culture, to Sandra Derenzio for lending her teapots, and to all who supported, baked, and cleaned up.It was a delightful, relaxing afternoon.
Profits from the tea were used to purchase two 30 cup pots to be used just for heating water. Watch for the pot at coffee hour and enjoy a cup of tea.
With sincere appreciation,
Church Growth Committee
